Golden Cut 26
The idea for Golden-Cut was born in December 2006. The Golden-Cut founder (Richard Granberg) came up with the idea when renovating his Storebro Solö Ruff 1964 (Baltic Sea chaser).
it is impossible not to love a wooden boat. The problem is the maintenance that comes with a 50-60 year old wooden boat and sea worms eating the wood. Most of the new wooden boats are carvel built with epoxy or in "cold molded epoxy" and have lost the natural "wood feeling". Very few are made in the beautiful traditional Scandinavian "Viking way" called clinker built with fluch clinkerplating, like on the picture below.
When thinking about the problems together with boat builders the idea came up to have plastic hull under the water line. Through that solution it would also be possible to manufacture the boat in a larger scale with a affordable pricing.
The project was started and partners where involved to manufacture the first Golden-Cut 26.
Please note that the details and photos shown for the Golden Cut 26 are general examples only. The specifications of yachts (including the number of berths, cabins and heads) varies so please confirm the details when booking with your yacht charter company.
