The Hauraki Gulf sailing season extends from the spring-time months of September through to November, to the peak season of late December to the end of February. The months of March and April offer superb sailing opportunities as the weather and sea water is still warm for swimming and snorkeling, whilst anchorages are much quieter for enjoyable sailing experiences.
